Congratulations to both the Crimson Jazz Ensemble and the Advanced Crimson Jazz Ensemble as both received gold ratings at the ISSMA Jazz Contest held at LaPorte High School this past Friday. Each band was given great comments on their improvised solos and precision. All students should be commended for studying America’s true art form Jazz!

Congratulations to both the Crimson Jazz Ensemble and the Advanced Crimson Jazz Ensemble for their outstanding performance this past weekend at the annual ISSMA jazz band contest. Both bands were awarded straight GOLD medals in their respective classes from each judge and were the best in each class.

HS Jazz Band Concert

The Goshen Jazz Bands will be having their annual Jazz Band Concert Tuesday, November 13th at the Life Center. The evening will feature coffee supplied by the Refinery Cafe, and various kinds of cheesecakes and desserts.

The Goshen Bands have also added The Lavender Jazz of Goshen College to their program. The Lavender Jazz features several GHS alums, including James Green, Isaac Lederach, Reuben Gingerich and Rafael Chavez.

The doors will open at 6:30 PM and the concert will begin at 7:00 PM. Tickets may be purchased at the door for $7.00.

Come hear some sweet sounds of jazz, and enjoy the coffee and desserts!

The Goshen Jazz Ensembles are having our first ever “Dessert and Jazz” concert on Thursday, May 10^th. This concert will feature both bands from Goshen High School along with the Northridge High School Jazz Ensemble. We will serve premium coffee with an array of fantastic desserts and great jazz from two great band programs. Both of the band programs will benefit from the money made at this event.
