"David Heroux is a May 2009 graduate of the University of Notre Dame. While at Notre Dame, Dave studied percussion performance and participated in the marching band, basketball & hockey bands, concert bands, orchestra, percussion ensemble and steel drum ensemble. He also attended nearly every football, hockey, and basketball game but did not let this detract from his studies.
In addition to his duties as the percussion director at Goshen High School, Dave serves on the band staffs at Fairfield High School and Plymouth High School. He spent the 2007 and 2008 marching band seasons as the percussion director at NorthWood High School while concurrently studying at Notre Dame. In 2003 and 2004, he marched for the drum corps Court of Honor in their only two years of existence, serving as the drum line captain and being named Most Outstanding Member in 2004.
Prior to moving to Goshen in June 2009, Dave lived for 10 years in suburban Atlanta with his parents Greg and Joanne. He attended South Forsyth High School and was a leader in the band program. His family relocated to Atlanta from Lancaster, PA, a town very similar to Goshen. In addition to his passion for music, Dave is a diehard support of the Fighting Irish, the Green Bay Packers, the Philadelphia Flyers, and the Philadelphia Phillies."
