You can now find each weeks Invitational Schedule as soon as I receive it. It is located in a sub-folder under the Home Page. I know not all band member give a copy of the schedule to their parents.

Go to the Marching Band tab so that you can see the pictures from Aug 7th of the Band performing for the Parents after the Band Carry-in Dinner.
We have a lot going on in the next few weeks so emails may be more frequent. Just a warning.
1. If you want information on Marching Band Competitions check out the web site below. It will have have answers to everything you want to know...and everything you didn't know you wanted to know...about marching band. www.indianamarching.com
2. Car wash Trip fundraisers - We have 4 more car washes set up for the next 2 Saturdays: Aug 2 at Monteith Tire on Greene Rd, & the Burger King by Sam's Club. I still need 2 adults to supervise (make sure the kids get the cars clean, and collect the money) for the Burger King location or we'll have to cancel that one. Let me know asap if you can help. Aug 9th at Monteith Tire on Greene Rd & Erv's Vac Shop at Linway Plaza. I think we can still use some adults for these locations as well...Irma and I really don't want to spend 3 weekends doing car washes. Signup sheet is in the band room. We are only taking 8-10 kids at each site. Money from all the car washes will be combined and divided among the kids that helped each saturday.
3. Band Carry In Dinner - Thursday Aug 7th. The schedule for that day will be a little different. Your student should be bringing home info on it. They will start camp at 1:00 pm that day. Dinner will be at 6:00 pm with a parent meeting beginning at 7:00 pm and then you will have a chance to see what your kids have learned at 8:15 pm or so. Please plan on bringing 2 dishes to share - 1 main course and 1 side dish, or salad, or dessert. Remember we will be feeding 150 TEENAGERS...they eat first...plus parents and siblings so be generous. You will also need to bring your own table service -plates, silverware, glasses. Drinks will be provided.
4. Band Trip - Right now there are 65 or so kids signed up. Mr. Cox does not expect the trip to be cancelled. If you have not signed up for the trip, do so as soon as possible. Your first payment is due shortly. Several have asked about refund policies, in the event that we do need to cancel out after payments are made. Mr. Cox will be getting me that information and I will forward it on as soon as I receive it .
5. Kent Baker - Kent is in charge of the Invitational. His email address has changed. If you need to contact him the new address is: bonehead99@maplenet.net (gotta love that address)
Don't Forget that Band Camp starts on Monday July 28th from 12:00-9:00 PM and runs through August 8th, with a Band Booster Mtg on August 7th with a Carry-in Dinner starting at 6:00 PM, you will need to start bringing your food at 5:30 pm.
We have 3 Car Wash/Bake Sale opportunities set up for students to raise money for the band trip. Each car wash will use 6-7 students who are ready to wash cars and not just play around. The money raised at the wash will be divided between the 6-7 students and put in their band accounts. The car washes will be held at Montieth Tire on the corner of Greene and US 33 from 10:00-2:00ish.

IF you can supply baked good (whether your child is going on the trip or not) please let Irma know as soon as possible. They are looking for cookies, brownies, bars, etc. packaged 6 to a plate or bag

They also need around 200' of hose. If you can lend yours one of the Saturday's let one of them know as well
