The Crimson Percussion Ensemble of Goshen High School placed 4th at the WGI World Championships held this past weekend at the University of Dayton. The group was given praise for their masterful display of musicianship and technique scoring a 93 out of a possible 100. Competing in “World Class” Goshen was the only concert percussion ensemble to represent Indiana in the competition. This marks the fifth straight year (as many as we have attended) the ensemble has made finals. To place 4th in the country is remarkable feat. I heard from one mom that she overheard an assistant director form the 1st. place school say "I can't believe they can play that!" Quite a complement to our kids and directors. Congratulations to all involved.
Crimson Percussion-State Champions!

Congratulations to the Crimson Percussion Ensemble who captured a State Championship on Saturday, March 21, competing in the Concert World Class division at Ben Davis High School. The group, seeded 2nd to host Ben Davis, gave a magical performance and brought down the house with the crowd-favorite show! This makes the 2nd state championship in three years for the ensemble.

The Crimson Percussion Ensemble will compete next at the WGI World Championships in Dayton, Ohio in April

Congratulations to senior Isaac Vining, who was awarded one of the Indiana Percussion Association's scholarships. The scholarship was based on a written essay, academic performance, musical ability, and an interview.
